What does it look like to act in pursuit of birth equity? How do we take collective action to ensure all birthing people and babies experience dignity and respect, life, freedom, and joy? How do we take care of ourselves and liberate our power as we pursue reproductive justice?
Join us for an inspiring, restorative, and action oriented day of learning and connection.

All presentations and discussions will be in English and Spanish. Simultaneous Interpretation will be available for all participants.
We are pleased to provide transportation to and from the retreat and disability accommodations. Please indicate your needs in the registration form.
What To Expect
The EMBRACe Retreat is an intentional, inclusive, and safe space for moms, birthing people, and those that care about them to gather and dream, connect, and act.
Retreat Activities Include
Keynote Speaker Reproductive justice workshop with SisterSong.
Panel Discussions with inspiring humans taking action in pursuit of reproductive and social justice.
Action-planning with the help of visual notetakers.
Restorative Sessions and Activities including Embodied Racism with Kim Pevia, Sound Therapy with Vibrance, Dance/Zumba, an art space for creative expression, hammocks, and more.
Free time for reflecting, connecting, and relaxing.

Nurture a BOLD vision of birth equity by stoking RADICAL HOPE and a shared understanding that centers the full personhood of birthing people and babies.

Participants will be invited to engage their:
Head
We will LEARN together. We will build a shared understanding of Reproductive Justice. We will learn from and be inspired by others who are leading change in their communities in pursuit of better outcomes for birthing people, babies, and families.
Heart
We will FEEL- welcome, safe, nurtured, respected, powerful, belonging, hope, inspired, and energized. This is a heart-open space, where we are encouraged to be our whole selves, to take care, and to connect with others.
Hands
We will prepare ourselves for ACTION. By growing and practicing the skills needed to ensure all birthing people and babies are able to experience dignity and respect, life, freedom, and joy.
